From Ash Wednesday to Easter

Join us on the journey!!

Ash Wednesday

The Lenten season begins on Ash Wednesday with a service of Holy Communion at 7:00 PM. The Ash Wednesay liturgical color is black. the service begins with the imposition of ashes on the forehead reminding us of our sin and frailty. We recall the words of committal in the burial servie: "earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust." Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of a period of penitential discipline which climaxes in the absolution and the peace of the Maundy Thursday liturgy.

"The Ready Room"

This Lenten drama by Mike McMillan is directed by Patti Tregoning. Four archangels watch the events of human (Biblical) history unfold from their "Ready Room" and from time to time are called to play a part. They struggle to understand the fullness of God's Plan.
