Patti Tregoning - Congregation Council President

 

I am a lifelong Lutheran and grew up in Chicago. I got a job at an animal hospital right after graduating from high school in 1976 and I’m still working there as an Inventory Manager. We have always had a house full of rescue animals!  I started teaching Sunday School that same year. I have taught all ages including Confirmation classes both at Resurrection and my first church in Chicago. I also served on Council there and at Resurrection in the Stewardship position.

I met my husband Dan in 1980 and we married in 1986. We moved to Oak Forest with our 3-year-old son Kevin in 1993. We found Resurrection when the family we bought our house from mentioned the great preschool that their children went to!  We joined and sent him to Resurrection Preschool.  Our daughter Allison was born in 1994 and she also attended our preschool and I joined the Preschool Board and became secretary.  I currently serve as President of the Preschool Board.

I previously served as Council President while we were planning to build our addition.  I have also served on Council as the Parish Education Chair.  I look forward to the possibilities at LCR as we continue our mission of Making Christ Known to All!
