WHAT TO EXPECT

The Weekend Experience

Come to our Sunday worship experience:

Come as You are

LCR is a friendly, welcoming place. Whether in shorts, jeans or business casual, and no matter where you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome.

Where to Park

Our main entrance is just off the corner of 151st St and Central Ave. in Oak Forest.  The parking lot is adjacent to the building with a circular drive for assisting those who need the benefit of handicapped parking and drop-off.

Additional parking can be found on the street behind the church – west of Central Ave (Parkside Ave), accessing it by either Pine St to the west or LaPalm to the north.

No expectations

As a first-time guest, please feel free to join in as you feel comfortable.  We Lutherans like to sit and stand at various places within the service.  Do so as you are able.  Please do not feel obligated to give an offering your first time here, either.  You are our guest. Relax and take time to worship God.

Coming with Children…

Children are welcome to join us in our worship time, where there is a message designed especially for them.

We also welcome children of all ages to our Childrens’ Church, held during the adult sermon time.  There is a bible story, snack and craft that corresponds with the lesson of the day heard by the adults in the worship setting.

Have a cup of coffee!

We have tables in the narthex should you like to stick around for our coffee hour.  Children can have punch or iced tea.  Occasionally you’ll find some goodies to go with that coffee.  Lutherans love their coffee and…
