What is a Reverse Advent Calendar

 

Advent (December 3 - 24, 2017)  is the perfect time for focusing on the joy of the season, but it can also seem really commercial. Our Reverse Advent Calendar is a way to try and refocus this time away from receiving to giving.

 

Please chose a Reverse Advent container/calendar and starting December 3, each day read the Scripture verse of the day (from the devotional sheet included) and then place the item of the day (from the calendar) in the container. The whole family should participate together if possible or applicable.

 

The containers will be given to the following organizations:

 

• Brown Container/gold - St. Stephen's Food pantry

• Green Container - Redeemer PADS

• Pink Container - Restoration Ministries Women’s shelter (Tabitha House)

• Blue Container- Restoration Ministries Men’s shelter (Harvey House)

• Solid Green Container - Restoration Ministries Children’s shelter (Tabitha House)

 

ALL CONTAINERS MUST BE RETURNED TO CHURCH ON

DECEMBER 24TH.
